Looking for a 9 × 12 or 10 × 14 rug?

Our standard sizes follow the makers' metric measurements, so some popular US sizes land slightly differently. A 300 × 400 cm rug is 9'10" × 13'1", close to a 10 × 13. If you need an exact 9 × 12, 10 × 14 or larger, several rugs can be made in a custom size.

How big should a living room rug be?

In a large living room, the rug should be big enough that at least the front legs of every sofa and chair sit on it, with 12 to 18 inches of floor showing around the edge. Our rug size guide has a room-by-room chart.
